Paramount is heading back to the Ron Burgundy well with a one-week release in the U.S. and U.K. of a new cut of "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" -- with 763 more jokes.
The re-cut version replaces nearly all of the jokes in the original film, which opened Dec. 18, with new jokes. Director Adam McKay, who wrote the script with star Will Ferrell, has promised that the new film is far raunchier.
"Anchorman 2" grossed $125 million and was still playing at 261 locations last weekend. It has taken in another $45 million internationally.
The news was first reported by the New York Times.
