Apple will host the first iTunes Festival in the United States next month at SXSW, with a lineup of musical acts to include Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, Keith Urban and Zedd.
The tech giant has held the iTunes Festival annually in London since 2007, and is now bringing the event to America. The inaugural U.S. fest will take place at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, home of PBS's "Austin City Limits," over five nights from March 11-15. All performances of the iTunes Festival will be available free as live or on-demand streams via the iTunes Store on iOS devices, including Apple TV set-tops, as well as Macs and PCs.
The iTunes Festival in London has featured more than 400 artists have performed in front of more than 430,000 fans -- and tens of millions more online. Performances are available for purchase and download on the iTunes Store.
