Shelly Tatro has been tapped to spearhead A&E's unscripted programming, as the cabler appoints her senior vice prez of development and programming in its nonfiction division.
Tatro joins A&E after over 12 years at VH1, where she most recently served as senior veep of east coast production and development. At VH1, she was responsible for reality programs including "Mob Wives," "Love & Hip Hop" and "Black Ink Crew." Tatro also launched the "I Love The..." franchise on VH1, and separately helped develop "Jersey Shore," which would find its way to sibling cabler MTV.
A&E's reality lineup includes "Duck Dynasty," "Storage Wars," "Wahlburgers" and "Rodeo Girls."
