FX released a teaser for upcoming vampire thriller series "The Strain," featuring New York City going dark during an eclipse.
Corey Stoll, hails from Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, and is based on the pair's book series of the same name. "The Strain" centers on Gotham, where a vampire virus has swept across the city.
Showrunner Carlton Huse visited TCA last week during the FX session to offer comments on the project, noting that the vampires in the show aren't at all sexy like they are in other films and TV series.
"The Strain" is currently lensing its pilot episode, and received a 13-episode series order from FX in November. Cabler plans to debut the series in July.
