The company, along with film's distributor Warner Bros., won't unleash "Godzilla" on megaplexes until next May, but Legendary has started to build a mystery around its big lizard, launching a website for the film's secret research org M.U.T.O.
Legendary releases the first trailer for the film on Dec. 10; film bows May 16, 2014 -- the 60th anniversary of Godzilla -- and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn and Sally Hawkins.
Marketing machine around the reboot revved up at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego with a panel and experience.

But in a photo released to IGN on Monday, security officials are shown setting up a quarantine zone around Nevada's "Devil's Throat" sinkhole, with a sign that sends people to M.U.T.O.'s classified website.
