Dawn Bridges, a veteran media-industry public-relations executive, has been named exec veep of corporate communications for Al Jazeera America, a spokesman for the network confirmed Tuesday.
Bridges, a former head of communications for both Time Inc. and Warner Music Group, Bridges has in recent years run an independent communications consultancy. "Joining an award-winning independent journalism organization that's bringing an unbiased new voice to American viewers is a special opportunity," she wrote in a communication to members of the press.
