Married thesps Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman will topline an Off Broadway staging of "Annapurna," the Sharr White play that rounds out the 2013-14 season from Gotham's New Group.
The duo will reprise the roles they played in an L.A. staging earlier this year. Bart DeLorenzo returns to direct the pair in the show, in which a woman reunites with her cowboy-poet husband after 20 years, returning when she hears he's not doing well. Mullally ("Will and Grace") was last on the New York boards in Broadway tuner "Young Frankenstein" in 2007; Offerman ("Parks and Recreation") makes his Gotham stage debut with the play.
Manhattan Theater Club production toplined by Mary-Louise Parker. The New Group also has a starry season lined up, starting with current outing "The Jacksonian," the Beth Henley play starring Ed Harris, Bill Pullman and Amy Madigan.
"Annapurna" will run April 13-June 1 at Off Broadway's Theater Row. After "Jacksonian," the New Group's slate will continue later this season with Thomas Bradshaw's "Intimacy," helmed by New Group a.d. Scott Elliott, before it finishes off with "Annapurna."
