The third annual legit-focused Gotham symposium, TEDxBroadway, has locked in its 2014 date, with speakers including helmer Diane Paulus, actor Lea DeLaria and Metropolitan Museum of Art exec Sree Sreenivasan among the speakers on tap for the February event.
Conference, which returns to Off Broadway's New World Stages, has played to packed houses in prior years, with seats filled by execs and industry pros from legit orgs across Gotham and beyond.
Diana Paulus, a.d. of the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Mass., has been riding high on a wave of success not only for her helming gigs ("Pippin," which recently won her a Tony) but for A.R.T.'s recent habit of Broadway transfers, including "Once" and the current revival of "The Glass Menagerie." Along with "Orange is the New Black" thesp Lea DeLaria and Sreenivasan, the head of chief digital officer at the Met, speakers on the roster include David Drake, chair of LDJ Capital and author of "Crowd Fund Economics," and Dan Gurney, founder of digital concert distribution company Concert Window.
Further talks for the day-long conference remain to be set. Organized every year by Situation Interactive founder Damian Bazadona, producer Ken Davenport and Goldstar topper Jim McCarthy, the 2014 edition of TEDxBroadway is set for Feb. 24.
