The announcement was made today by Bruce Tuchman, prexy of AMC/Sundance Channel Global, who will introduce the series at CTAM EuroSummit, the three-day marketing confab which starts Sept. 18.

"Our advanced rights offering enables us to work closely with operators to provide globally renowned entertainment easily across all authenticated on demand services."
A gritty crimer lensed on location in Detroit, "Sun" toplines Mark Strong ("Zero Dark Thirty"), Lennie James ("The Walking Dead"). The first season's 10-episode turn on a detective who kills a corrupt cop and subsequently gets pulled into the heart of Detroit's underworld.
Mundy, whose credits include "Criminal Minds" and "Cold Case," exec produced the series along with Dave Erickson and Rolin Jones.
