Dodgers Fever has officially hit Los Angeles -- and local carrier KCAL 9 is a big beneficiary.
Nielsen estimates that the blistering hot team's victory over the New York Yankees on Tuesday night averaged a big 603,000 viewers in the Los Angeles market, peaking with 814,000 in the final quarter-hour when Mark Ellis knocked in the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

In the key adults 25-54 demo, Monday's game did a 4.0/13, the best for a Dodger game since KCAL became the team's broadcast partner at the start of the 2006 season.
KCAL 9 will air nine Dodgers game in August, and as you might expect, the team will be featured prominently in national telecasts on other networks. They will be on Fox's Saturday afternoon game three times, have three games on ESPN, two on MLB Network and one on TBS.
The first-place Dodgers are 10-1 since the All-Star break and have gone 27-6 since June 22, the best 33-game run in Los Angeles Dodgers history.
