Brett Ratner and Nicolas Chartier have come on board to produce indie thriller "In the Company of Lies" with Robert Luketic directing.

Chartier's Votage Pictures will finance and produce with Ratner's Rat Entertainment producing alongside Sentinel Pictures. Luketic just wrapped "Paranoia," starring Liam Hemsworth and Harrison Ford.

"In the Company of Lies," written by Chris and Charlie Frazier, centers on a female doctor whose world is turned upside down when she drops everything and travels to Russia to uncover a shocking truth about her husband. The discovery immediately puts her life in danger and raises questions about who she can really trust.

Variety first reported in late 2011 that Sentinel had begun developing the project by acquiring the script from the Frazier brothers.

Producers are starting to meet the actors to cast the project with the aim of starting shooting by the end of the year.

Producers are Ratner and John Cheng for Rat Entertainment, David Beitchman and Adam Brawer for Sentinel Pictures and Chartier and Zev Foreman for Voltage. Gary Ousdahl will executive produce with Agustine Calderon and Nic Bogner co-producing.

Voltage's Dominic Rustam handled the deal and will help oversee the project.
