Ira Winderman has covered the Miami Heat since the team's inception in 1988. Winderman worked for two upstate New York dailies before joining the Sun-Sentinel as a copy editor in 1983.

YMCA of South Palm Beach County's 12th annual "Inspiration Breakfast" will take place April 8, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. The breakfast, bringing business and community leaders together, will raise funds for the Y's financial assistance program, which provides everyone, regardless of income, the ability to participate in Y programs. John Offerdahl, former professional football player for the Miami Dolphins and owner of Offerdahl's Café Grill, will be the keynote speaker.
