Former Sagemont basketball star Will Sheehey has sported plenty of red and white during his days with the Lions and now at Indiana.

This week, he’ll add some blue to his uniform collection after being selected for Team USA’s 12-man roster for the World University Games in Kazan, Russia.

Sheehey, who averaged 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game this season for the Hoosiers, earned his spot on the team after attending a five-day training camp that started with 26 players.

Sheehey and Team USA begin play in the World University Games on Sunday.

Also selected for Team USA were Sheehey's Indiana teammate Yogi Ferrell, Colorado's Spencer Dinwiddie, Virginia Commonwealth's Treveon Graham, Louisville's Luke Hancock, BYU's Tyler Haws, Baylor's Cory Jefferson, Cincinnati's Sean Kilpatrick, New Mexico's Alex Kirk, Creighton's Doug McDermott, Michigan State's Adreian Payne, and Iowa's Aaron White.
