A luxury cruise ship operated by Silversea Cruises failed to achieve a passing grade on a recent U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) inspection, according to a CNN report.
The ship-- the Silver Shadow -- received a failing grade of 82, and was cited repeatedly for staff removing food from the kitchen galley to their cabins to avoid inspection, according to the report.
Silversea's Americas office is based in Fort Lauderdale, and three of its ships -- Silver Cloud, Silver Whisper and Silver Spirit have sailed from Port Everglades earlier this year during the peak cruise season.
