Kosar led the Hurricanes to their first national title, defeating Nebraska in the 1984 Orange Bowl. He was chosen by the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000038" title="Cleveland Browns" href="/topic/sports/football/cleveland-browns-ORSPT000038.topic">Cleveland Browns</a> in the 1985 Supplemental Draft, playing 12 seasons in the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000007" title="National Football League" href="/topic/sports/football/national-football-league-ORSPT000007.topic">NFL</a>. Great moment: Threw for a playoff-record 489 yards in a 23-20 double-overtime victory against the New York Jets in the AFC Divisional playoffs.
