Taking a closer look at the results from the Broward County Athletic Association Track and Field Championships at Dillard High on Saturday, several runners are approaching or have reached the top times in the country this year.
On the boys side Kahil Henderson of South Broward ran 21.01 in the 200 meters making it the fastest time in the country this season according to Athletic.net. Deron Gordon of Boyd Anderson ran a 38.12 in the 300-hurdles, inching closer to the national best of 37.85 by Robert Grant of Brophy College Prep (Az.).
Shakima Wimbley of Dillard now has the top time in the nation in the girls 400-meters (53.67), surpassing Jordan Ordway of Hillsborough, Fl. (55.43)
Kali Davis-White now has the second best time (11.56) in the country behind Ky Westbrook (Chandler, Az.) in the 100 meters (11.47).
Daeshon Gordon of Boyd Anderson ran a 13.89 in the 100-hurdles, making it the second best time in the country this season behind Ebony Morrsion (13.74) of Miami Killian.
