The 293,000-square-foot store at 151 N.W. 136th Avenue in Sunrise, offers more than 10,000 home and office furnishings and accessories, many of which require self-assembly. With "Affordable Solutions for better living," as its motto, Ikea's modern style and low prices have created loyal fans worldwide. The Sunrise store's facade sports its signature blue backdrop with yellow Ikea lettering and on arrival, customers are given a yellow shopping bag and map to navigate the store's 50-plus showrooms and three Model Homes. Ikea's lower level Market Hall has an array of specialty shops that carry home accessories like linen, lighting, glassware and rugs among others. Theme-park elements including Smaland, a children's play area modeled after a Swedish farmhouse, adorn the Ikea store. There's restaurant that serves up a Swedish meatball dish with Lingonberry Sauce and a marketplace for buying traditional Swedish specialty foods. Ikea shoppers collect their do-it-yourself furnishings from a self-serve warehouse on the way to checkout. Items are flat-packed for easy transportation and loading. Just in case everything doesn't fit in your vehicle, Ikea has a U-Haul rental service on site to help you carry your shopping home. Ikea has 33 stores in the U.S. and 267 stores worldwide.  « Show less
