Museum of Science and Industry

The Museum of Science and Industry in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago holds more than 35,000 artifacts and has nearly 14 acres of interactive exhibits. The building, designed by Charles Atwood, was constructed for the World¿s Columbian Exposition in 1893 and was called the Palace of Fine Arts. It is the only remaining building from the Exposition. It opened as a museum for the first time in 1933 and has been visited by more than 175 million guests.  Show more »
