Fowler looks the part

I'm all in with Rickie Fowler. I dig the all-orange outfits, the floppy hair and the oversized hats. I even can tolerate his shirtless get-up and flat singing in the "Golf Boys" video.

Most important, I like that he closed with a 66 last week at Firestone and that he finished with four birdies in his Ryder Cup match against Edoardo Molinari.

Fowler already is starting to get flak from impatient fans and media members for never having won on the PGA Tour. Easy now. The California kid is 22 and already ranked among the world's top 30 players.

He's hardly the straightest driver — he's in Phil Mickelson territory by hitting just 55.9 percent of fairways — but I still like him to break through at the PGA Championship.
