The Baltimore County police officer who suffered a heart attack while jogging at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, was among those recognized at a ceremony honoring survivors of cardiac arrest Friday afternoon.
Scott Miller, 43, a 14-year veteran of the police, described the help he received from two UMBC students and other first responders as "humbling" hours after the June 1 ceremony at Parkville Fire Station.
"Words cannot describe it. I'm extremely grateful for everything that they've done," the Howard County resident said.
