  7. Huff should step down

The Sun editorial regarding the drunk driving charge of Baltimore County 3rd District Councilman Todd Huff is very troubling ("Sobriety test," Feb. 26). The council is faced with difficult, challenging times requiring responsible decision making by its members.

  9. Sobriety test for Baltimore County's Todd Huff

Todd Huff isn't the first Baltimore County councilman to be arrested for drunk driving, and if he's convicted of the crime, he won't be the first in that regard either. And we will not delude ourselves by expecting him to be the last to face such charges — at least not in a nation where 1.4 million people are arrested annually for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

I used to have parents of my students pull that one on me, and I always told them, "If you don't know who you are, I sure as hell don't."

  15. Are Republican politicians the only people who drink and drive, or just the only ones The Sun writes about?

Full disclosure: I don't know Baltimore County Councilman Todd Huff, nor am I affiliated with him in any way. But a charge of driving under the influence is serious under any circumstances ("Council member faces DUI charge," Feb. 24).
