The Havre de Grace City Council introduced bills Monday night that would raise water and sewer tax rates by 10 percent and set the real property tax rate at the constant yield rate for the 2017 fiscal year.
Water rates starting July 1 would be $5.85 per 1,000 gallons, and sewer rates would be $8.75 per 1,000 gallons.
The legislation is based on a recommendation by the city's water and sewer commission to increase rates by 10 percent, Council President Steve Gamatoria said.
The property tax rate, meanwhile, would increase from $0.56 per $100 of assessable real property to $0.5697.
