Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler has hired a new campaign manager to run his yet-to-be launched bid for governor.
Matthew "Mudcat" Arnold took over the campaign this week, replacing veteran strategist Carrie Glenn, an Obama field organizer from Montana who recently left the Gansler campaign for health reasons, the campaign said.
Arnold, a Mississippi native who goes by his nickname, has no shortage of liberal and grassroots bonefides.
