Time for a shot in arm for Illinois State Fair
A corn dog and a lemon shake-up. A few thrill rides or maybe a leisurely trip on the Sky Glider. Getting up close and personal with farm animals, and of course, a swing by the Dairy Building to check out the butter cow.
There are many nostalgic pleasures associated with the Illinois State Fair — but the venerable tradition appears to need a modern shot in the arm.
It's been three weeks since the fair ended, but as yet, officials say they don't know how many people attended.
