The city of Columbus' newly elected mayor and former mayor will be attending President Barack Obama's State of the Union address.
The Columbus Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1N3dHTy ) reports new Mayor Andrew Ginther will go to the Tuesday night event as a guest of U.S. Rep. Pat Tiberi, a Republican from the area. Ginther is a Democrat who became Columbus' 53rd mayor Jan. 1.
Former Mayor Michael Coleman, who had held the job for 16 years, is attending as a guest of U.S. Rep. Joyce Beatty, a Columbus-area Democrat.
