Members of Connecticut's congressional delegation say they're concerned about a recent string of delays and service problems affecting rail commuters using the Metro-North Waterbury Branch Line.
U.S. Sens. Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal and U.S. Reps. Jim Himes and Elizabeth Esty, all Democrats, sent a letter Friday to Joseph Giulietti, president of Metro-North Railroad, urging him to explain the recent service lapses.
The Waterbury Republican-American reported how riders have been particularly frustrated this month. There were 19 incidents that caused delays between Aug. 2 and Aug. 16.
