U.S. Rep. Bill Foster says his guest for Pope Francis' address to Congress next week will be the president of Lewis University of Romeoville.
Brother James Gaffney has been president of the school for nearly 30 years. He is retiring in June. Lewis University is a private Catholic university with about 7,000 students in Chicago's suburbs.
Gaffney says he anticipates the pope's address will "both inspire and challenge us in providing a quality Catholic higher education."
Pope Francis will become the first pope to address a joint meeting of Congress on Sept. 24.
