Earl W. Bohlman, a retired Baltimore & Ohio Railroad superintendent who later founded an electrical contracting firm, died of multiple organ failure Jan. 13 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The Severna Park resident was 88. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of John Bohlman, also a B&O railroad worker, and Marie Luipaeter, a homemaker. He grew up in West Baltimore and attended Gwynns Falls Junior High School and was a 1944 graduate of Polytechnic Institute. He enlisted in the Navy and was an electrician's mate aboard a submarine repair ship, the USS Sperry, in the South Pacific during World War II.
