Obituary: Arthur Dorman, 85, represented state District 21 for 38 years

Arthur Dorman, who represented Laurel's 21st District for 38 years, in both the Maryland House and Senate, died Feb. 17 at his home in Charlottesville, Va. He was 85.

In an email announcement sent out by the current District 21 delegation— State Sen. James Rosapepe and Delegats Barbara Frush, Joseline Peña-Melnyk and Ben Barnes— Dorman was remembered as "a public servant's public servant." The District 21 delegation members credited Dorman with making the University of Maryland the state's flagship campus and bringing Metro's Green Line toPrince George's County.
