A son, Gary Andrew Keiser, was born to Andrew and Elaine Keiser of Pellston 4:47 p.m. Nov. 30, 2011, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital. Gary weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21 inches long at birth. His siblings are Grace Marie, 10, David Ellis, 5, and James Albert, 2. Grandparents are Gary Voisin of Cheboygan, David Keiser of Levering, and Evelyn Keiser of Carp Lake.
A daughter, Kya Pauline Hankins, was born to Spencer and Tori Hankins of Boyne City Dec. 7, 2011, at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Kya weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces at birth. Her sibling is Caden Hankins, 4. Grandparents are Kim Bley of Petoskey, Ryp and Vicki Hankins of Boyne City, and Kris and Drew Mihelich of East Jordan.
Be a bell-ringer. The Salvation Army needs volunteers in this holiday season for bell-ringing. We need volunteers with a warm heart to collect donations in 2-hour increments from now until Christmas Eve. Bell ringers are needed Monday through Saturday at all times of the day in Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Boyne City. If bell ringing isn't your style, bring your own instruments that you would like to play and serenade shoppers as they prepare for the holidays.
