The Rotary Club of Little Traverse Bay Sunset conducted its first meeting as a Provisional Rotary Club recently.
This new club joins more than 34,000 clubs that are part of Rotary worldwide, and locally joins Petoskey's morning and noon clubs.
It became apparent that many businesspeople were not available to meet at noon or early morning time for meetings. So, three existing Rotarians set out to make this opportunity available. The club will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Stafford's Perry Hotel in Petoskey.
The club's focus is to be active in service projects both locally and internationally. If you are interested in becoming a Rotarian or would just like additional information, you can come to a Wednesday meeting or contact one of the three lead Rotarians: Marty Engel at firstname.lastname@example.org or (231) 838-8214, Jania Taylor at email@example.com or (419) 438-7882, or Ken Mainland at firstname.lastname@example.org or (231) 347-9061.
The Rotary Club of Little Traverse Bay Sunset is officially a Provisional Rotary Club, allowing visiting Rotarians to receive a makeup. When 25 or more interested businessmen and women are committed to serving, an official application will be made to Rotary International.
