Little Traverse Township crash results in man's arrest for drunken driving

Michigan State Police responded to the crash, which occurred about 7:58 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, on U.S. 31 near West Conway Road, in Little Traverse Township. A northbound 1999 Chevrolet pick-up truck driven by Darrin Miles Kolatski apparently crossed the center line median and struck a southbound 2002 Ford Escort driven by Deanna Reed, 36, of Alanson, head on, Rule said.
Rule said Kolatski was arrested and an ambulance transported Reed, who sustained a broken wrist and injury to her shoulder and hip, to a hospital.
Darlene Tollini, criminal clerk at Emmet County's 90th District Court, said on Monday, that Kolatski is charged with operating while intoxicated causing incapacitating injury and is to appear in court for an arraignment Feb. 15.
Emmet County Sheriff Pete Wallin said Kolatski was released from jail Monday, Jan. 30, after posting a $5,000 bond.
