Rummage sale, car wash
Antioch Apostolic Church, 1535 Ritchie Highway in Arnold, will hold a rummage sale and car wash from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 30. Rummage sale items include gently used shoes, clothing and household items. Food will also be available and donations are accepted.
This event is a fundraiser for an upcoming mission trip to the Philippines.

A master gardener will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 30 at Crofton Community Library, 1681 Riedel Road, to answer gardening questions. The gardener will also analyze bugs, weeds, and plants brought to the library in sealed plastic bags.

The Anne Arundel County Master Gardeners will give talks and demonstrations on bees and beekeeping from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 and Sept. 14 at Hancock's Resolution in Pasadena; and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 10 and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 27 at Quiet Waters Park. During these talks participants will be able to view an active beehive, opened so that some of the inner workings of the hive can be observed. Information regarding general beekeeping and ways of supporting the environment to encourage the presence of bees and other pollinators will be discussed.
