But the top show with young adults was ESPN's telecast of the Pittsburgh-Washington football game. Washington won, 24-13.
In total viewers, "Under the Dome" drew 128,700 viewers. The ESPN game was second with 100,800 viewers.
In the 18-to-49 age age group, the ESPN football was followed by NBC's "American Ninja Warrior," Bravo's "Real Housewives of Orange County," ABC Family's "Switched at Birth" and the 9:30 p.m. rerun of "The Big Bang Theory" on TBS. "Under the Dome" ranked No. 7 in that count.
In national broadcast ratings, "Under the Dome" was easily the night's biggest show with 10.6 million viewers, according to updated ratings. The No. 2 show was "American Ninja Warrior" with 4.9 million. The prime-time averages: CBS with 6.3 million, ABC with 3.6 million, NBC with 3.4 million, Fox with 1.5 million and The CW with 590,000. CBS also won the 18-to-49 age group.
In cable, the Redskins-Steelers game averaged 5.6 million viewers.
