Quick slant:a The Gators are 4-0 all time against the Cajuns Tigers. Florida set a school record with just 24 points allowed in four SEC games (previous record 33, 1960). Louisiana sophomore quarterback Terrance Broadway threw for 373 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 87 yards and another score in last weekend’s 40-24 win against Louisiana-Monroe. Florida is a 26-point favorite.
About Louisiana: The Ragin’ Cajuns (5-3) average 35 points and 435.5 yards, but have allowed at least 500 yards in half of their games. Louisiana has lost 15 straight games to top 25 opponents, allowing an average of 56.3 points in its last four games against ranked foes.
About Florida: The Gators (8-1) lead the nation in pass efficiency defense (87.42 rating) and have held seven opponents to less than 50 percent completion percentage. The Gators were just 2 of 13 on third down in last Saturday’s 14-7 win against Missouri and are 10th in the SEC in third-down conversions (37.5 percent). Florida has averaged just 241.7 yards in the past three games.
