Scott won the 100-meter dash at the Tom Memorial Classic in Gainesville in a season-best time of 11.27 seconds and finished second in the 200-meter dash, running it in 22.73 seconds. The junior’s 100 meter time was eighth best in the NCAA this season, and the runner up finish came to seven-time Olympic medalist Veronica Campbell-Brown, who clocked a new 2013 all-conditions world-best time of 22.18.
Scott became UCF’s first NCAA champion in any sport this winter when she took gold in the 60-meter dash. She also finished second in the 200-meter dash.
This is Scott’s fourth career conference athlete of the week honor, and her third of 2013. The Knights, ranked No. 12 in the nation, have won four of five weekly awards this spring during the outdoor season.
