Taste, a restaurant that focused on art, concerts and events such as the ongoing Science Cafe, in Orlando's College Park has closed. The eatery at 717 W. Smith St. specialized in small plates similar to tapas. Before Taste opened in 2003, the space was occupied by Chapters Cafe, a restaurant and used book store concept. I made a quick visit to the restaurant today, which is a short walk off Edgewater Drive, to confirm that the place was shuttered after College Park blog The Bungalower reported Taste had closed. Doors were locked and there has been no information posted on Taste's Facebook page concerning the closure.
