For one night only, short films from the 2013 Sundance Film Festival will play the Enzian.
The full program is 93 minutes and starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the theater, 1300 S. Orlando Ave. in Maitland.
The eight short films have a combined running time of 93 minutes. Those films are:
"The Date," eight minutes from Finland, about a family's stud cat.
"Whiplash," 17 minutes from the United States, about a drummer's entry into a top conservatory.
"Skinningrove," 15 minutes from the United States, which offers unpublished photos of people in a remote English fishing village.
"Until the Quiet Comes," four minutes from the United States, which offers magical realism in Watts.
"Irish Folk Furniture," eight minutes from Ireland, an animated documentary about restoring old furniture.
"The Event," four minutes from the USA/United Kingdom. Enzian's preview: "Love and a severed foot at the end of the world."
"Jonah," 20 minutes from Tanzania/United Kingdom, explores how the photo of a giant leaping fish changes a small town.
"K.I.T.," 15 minutes from the United States, explains how a yuppie strains to demonstrate she is a good person.
