Gov. Rick Scott is to take his "It's Your Money" tax cut tour to Valencia College this afternoon where he'll be asking the public what taxes and fees should be reduced in the coming year. The group Florida for All plans to be at the college, too, urging the governor to invest any new state money in public education rather than to provide "tax cuts for the wealthy and well-connected few."

Scott's been traveling the state this week asking for ideas as part of his $500 million tax cut pledge.

He is to be at Valencia College's east campus, 701 North Econlockhatchee Trail, from 3 to 4 p.m.

The Florida for All protest is to start about 4 p.m., organizers said, outside the room where the governor is to speak (building 5, room 112).

The group said it doesn't like that Scott first announced his push for $500 million in cuts to taxes and fees at a the conservative Americans for Prosperity gathering.
