Orlando City Soccer Club signed Haitian International Bitielo Jean-Jacques, a 23-year-old defender poised to join the Lions for its match against OKC Energy FC Saturday night pending USSF approval.

Jean-Jacques (5-7, 160) will provide depth for Orlando City after veteran defender Rob Valentino suffered an ankle injury earlier this week against FC Dallas Reserves. The injury is expected to sideline Valentino for at least two weeks.

Jean-Jacques, a 23-year-old left-back, began his professional career in 2011 by signing with River Plate Puerto Rico. He later joined Premier Development League (PDL) side Ocala Stampede before signing with former USL PRO side VSI Tampa Bay FC in 2013. He made four appearances and scored one goal with VSI.

He also has been featured in the U-17 FIFA World Cup.
