Four baseball players from Sentinel readership area high schools made the All-Southeastern Conference first team announced Tuesday.
Three of those players were from Ole Miss – Sikes Orvis, a junior first baseman from Freedom, Austin Anderson, a senior third baseman from Mount Dora and Auston Bousfield, a junior outfielder from West Orange.
Also making first team is Vanderbilt’s Vince Conde, a junior shortstop from Orangewood Christian.
Orvis was second in the SEC in homers (12). Anderson hit .329 with 18 doubles, 39 RBIs, 50 runs scored. Bousfield hit .349 with 16 doubles, 46 RBIs, 51 runs scored. Conde hit .306 with 43 RBIs and 36 runs scored.
