Google Naps

Google Naps (Google Naps / March 31, 2014)

Ever been in desperate need of a nap but just don't know a good spot to plop down? Of course you have.

Google Naps might be just the ticket. The recently launched parody site, based on Google Maps, shows you nearby napping spots, as submitted by locals.

The Central Florida offerings are a bit sparse so far. There are two spots mapped at Universal Orlando, and a few more from someone fond of some benches near Cape Canaveral.

The site's Dutch creators even included a good-natured note to try to ward off any possible legal action from Google. An excerpt:

"Hello, please don't be mad this is just a joke, a parody. We don't mean to damage your brand or anything, we just want to bring a smile on the faces of Google fans. So please don't take this to court, we only have a few hundred Euros in the bank. And we also don't want to go to jail because we're too busy with other things at the moment."

So far, it seems to have worked.
