The Florida Gators men's track and field team used a dramatic late rally to tie Texas A&M for the team NCAA Outdoor Track and Field national title Saturday at Hayward Field in Oregon.

The Gators and Aggies scored 53 points apiece, while fellow SEC member Arkansas was next in line with 46.5 points.

UF trailed Texas A&M by nine points heading into the final event, but the Gators won the 4x400-meter relay title with a time of 3:01.34 to secure 10 points. The Aggies dropped a baton during the same race, finishing eighth and scoring just one point to seal a tie for the national title.

UF also won the 4x100-meter relay, and Omar Craddock delivered an individual victory in the triple jump.

It was the Gators' second consecutive outdoor track and field national title.
