A matchup at national powerhouse Alabama on Sept. 20 will highlight the Florida Gators 2014 football schedule, released by the SEC on Wednesday.

The Gators have not fared well lately against Nick Saban's team, winners of three of the past four national championships. Florida has lost the past three meetings with Alabama by a combined score of 101-26. That includes a 38-10 loss in the Swamp in 2011 during coach Will Muschamp's first season.

The Gators will host SEC power LSU on Oct. 11 in their other crossover game with the West Division, dropping Arkansas, which will visit Gainesville of Oct. 5.

Florida will open SEC play with a Sept. 13 visit from Kentucky.

An Oct. 4 visit to Tennessee, a Nov. 1 matchup with Georgia in Jacksonville and Nov. 15 visit from South Carolina are other SEC schedule highlights.

Still, Muschamp's second meeting with his mentor, Saban, highlights the 2014 slate of games.

The Tide received 58 of 60 first-place votes in the Associated Press preseason top 25 and show no signs of slowing down.

The Gators, currently ranked No. 10, should field another strong team in 2014. The Gators are projected to start just two seniors on offense - center Jon Harrison and slot receiver Trey Burton - and as few as two on defense - defensive back Jaylen Watkins and end Dominique Easley.

The Gators non-conference schedule is set, beginning with an Aug. 30 visit from Idaho. Florida will host Eastern Michigan a week later, Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 22 and travel to Tallahassee to face Florida State on Nov. 29.
