Weather: 67 degrees, 20 percent chance of rain
About FSU: The Seminoles are the only team in the county with a top-10 offense and defense. FSU has scored at least 40 points in all 11 games this season, tied for a national record.
About Florida: Injuries have ravaged the Gators. Key players like QB Jeff Driskel and DL Dominique Easley have been lost for the year and Florida hasn’t recovered. This is the program’s first losing season since 1979.
What to watch
1. Jameis Winston continues his Heisman campaign and could make a big statement if he produces against Florida’s strong group of defense backs. The redshirt freshman QB leads the country in passing efficiency (194.5) and is considered a favorite to win the award.
2. FSU RB Devonta Freeman has quietly continued his pace to 1,000 rushing yards. The junior has 808 rushing yards on the season and could take significant strides towards reaching that goal against a Florida defense that allowed 429 rushing yards last week against FCS opponent Georgia Southern.
3. While Florida hasn’t had many positives this season, the Gators do have some reasons to be optimistic. Freshman RB Kelvin Taylor has emerged as a potential feature back and freshman CB Vernon Hargreaves III is a cornerstone in the secondary.
