It was the Wildcats’ first regular season win against the Sooners since 1997.
John Hubert rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries including a nine-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that would be the deciding score in the game. It was Klein’s performance though that helped guide Kansas State (4-0, 1-0 Big 12). The senior finished with 149 yards passing and 79 yards rushing including a five-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
Landry Jones was 28-of-43 for 298 yards and a touchdown for Oklahoma (2-1, 0-1 Big 12), which turned the ball over three times in the game including a fumble that Childs returned for a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Kansas State’s defense held the Sooners to season-low 88 yards rushing in the game.
