Ethereal, dreamy, spacey Brooklyn indie/electropop duo Cultfever bring the fun up to Connecticut this week when they play The Outer Space on Mon., April 9. Fresh off the release of their self-titled debut, which made our list of kick-ass albums at the end of last year, and the release of the music video for album closer "Collector," Tamara Jafar and Joe Durniak are ready to show us how it's done. And since Joe and I spent a few years together at UNH, seeing this new outfit play one of my favorite venues is pretty awesome. If you're already headed to The Space that night to see Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, you can pop into The Outer Space for free, so long as you're over 21. Tickets are $5 for the rest of you.
Cultfever, April 9, 9 p.m., The Outer Space, 295 Treadwell St., Building G, Hamden, (203) 288-6400, theouterspace.net. 21 and up.
