Ballet feels right at home in wintertime, does it not? We think so, and it's fitting that Moscow Festival Ballet comes to the Garde Arts Center this weekend to perform Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty. Complete with stunning costumes and whimsical sets, Moscow Festival Ballet dances the story of Princess Aurora, her finger prick, her spell-induced snooze, and her life-saving kiss from the Prince in three acts. America doesn't do ballet like this.
Sleeping Beauty, Jan. 7, 7:30 p.m., $30-$50, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London, (860) 444-7373, gardearts.org.
