occupation: equestrian singing ringmaster of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey
found at: XL Center
Why did you join the circus? I'd never seen the circus before I joined. I wanted to add stilt-walking to my repertoire and I had the opportunity to audition. My family members asked "Are you crazy?"
What is the hardest thing about your job? Staying healthy. There's one ringmaster. If I get sick, the show must go on.
What gets you through each week? No matter what I'm going through, I make sure the audience feels different when they leave than when they entered the doors. Any time I can make a dream come true for anybody, I've done my job.
When you are on the road but not working, what do you do? I love to play pool. Every city I go to, I try to find a place to play.
What is the worst advice anyone has given you? "You'll never be able to do that."
If you could go back in time to give yourself some advice, what would it be? I would've joined the circus a whole lot younger.
What else should we know about you? Come to the circus...I like to be looked at.
