Gordon Ramsay to visit Forks restaurant for 'Kitchen Nightmares'
Gordon Ramsay will visit Bella Luna Ristorante & Bar in Forks Township to film an episode of Fox¿s ¿Kitchen Nightmares.¿ (July 15, 2013)
According to the network, Ramsay and his team will visit the restaurant at 3417 Sullivan Trail Wednesday through Saturday for a sixth season episode.
The show helps struggling restaurants stay in business by having the fiery Scottish chef scrutinize their inner workings and suggest methods of improvement. Ramsay diagnoses problems such as bad food, unsanitary practices, mismanagement and lazy or rude wait staff. It’s up to the restaurant owners to accept his guidance, or face closure.
Bella Luna owners Rosaria Scollo and her sons, Gianfranco and Maurizio, took over the Italian restaurant previously known as Gennaro’s in 2010, according to a Morning Call restaurant review from March 2012. Calls to the restaurant went unanswered Monday.
Anyone wishing to book a reservation at Bella Luna while the show is filming should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
In March and April, 2004 Parkland grad Jessica Lewis appeared in another one of Ramsay’s shows, Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” a reality cooking show. Unfortunately, Lewis could not repeat the success of Phillipsburg native Christina Wilson (last year’s “Hell’s Kitchen” winner), and was the sixth chef to be eliminated from season 11.
The filming also marks the second time this year a restaurant rescue show has stopped by the Lehigh Valley. In May, the Food Network’s “Restaurant: Impossible” tackled Benner Street Restaurant in Fountain Hill. In that show, set to air July 28, celebrity chef Robert Irvine had $10,000 and two days to help save the restaurant through changes such as new decor, a new bar and new menu.
